Dr. Johannes Reichert
Chief Information Officer
Dr. Johannes joined Hilti Global IT as Head of Product Data
Management in mid-2013.In this role he was responsible for the
global IT systems used by our engineers and product managers
for product design. Since mid-2015 he led the Corporate Center
of Excellence for Application Software, delivering Hilti
Cloud, User Interface Design and Internet of Things (IoT)
environment to enable excellent digital products for Hilti
customers. As the head of DRIVE he was responsible for
implementing S/4 HANA as well as Customer Engagement &
Commerce and IoT solutions. In 2019 he took on the role as
Head of IT for Sales & Marketing and was responsible for the
very successful implementation of the Salesforce.com
environment as global CRM platform.
In addition, he initiated and drives the reorganization and
agile transformation of Global IT, fostering agile methods &
mindset for information technology teams around the world.
Johannes holds a master’s degree and a PhD in mechanical
engineering from the University of Clausthal.
As of 2022 he is leading the Global IT Team in his role as
Chief Information Officer of the Hilti Group.
Lee Wai-Meng
Head of IT Asia
Wai-Meng is currently the Head of IT Asia for Hilti Group. In
this role, he is responsible for the development and growth
of Hilti Group’s IT competence centre in Asia located in Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia. Since joining Hilti Group in October 2016,
he has held various leadership roles in the IT Infrastructure
and Application areas.
Prior to joining Hilti Group, he spent 8 years with T-Systems
International and 10 Years with Shell IT International where
he held various IT Infrastructure leadership and technical
roles in the areas of SAP and IT Infrastructure services based
in Malaysia, Australia, Slovakia, and The Netherlands. He also
spent 3 years with Siemens Malaysia where he was part of a
large SAP project team responsible for the green field
implementation of SAP ERP systems for a large electric utility
client in Malaysia.
Combining both technical expertise with strong commercial
acumen enables Wai-Meng to add value
to organizational strategies, processes, and tools with the
emphasis always on exceeding the expectations of international
clients, strengthening relationships with them
to maximize future opportunities.
Dr. Thomas Rhomberg
Chief Cybersecurity Officer
Thomas Rhomberg joined the Hilti Global IT leadership team in
January 2021. Together with his team he is responsible for
securing Hilti from IT / cyber risks. Before joining Hilti,
Thomas was working for the government in critical
infrastructure protection and held different leadership
positions in Corporate Security and in IT with SIX (the
operator of the Swiss Stock Exchange).
Thomas has strong background in IT infrastructure security,
building SOCs delivering cybersecurity projects/programs and
developing risk managements systems. Thomas is holding
different industry-specific certifications (CISM, CRISC) and
is also a part-time lecturer in cybersecurity.
Puneet Raj
Head of Hilti Technology Solutions
Puneet is the General Manager of Hilti Technology Solutions
India, Hilti`s Software Product Development Center in India.
He joined Hilti in 2015, having previously worked in companies
such as Amazon and Unilever. While at Hilti, he has previously
led the Mobile Apps teams in Malaysia, as well as led our
Smart Tools program and has done a role in the global
marketing department.
Hilti Technology Solutions India (HTSI) - located in Pune,
India, is one of Hilti’s key Software Product Development
center. We have ~240 employees who are focused on designing
and developing Software Products for Hilti`s customers. It is
an end-to-end Product Development house, employing UI/UX
professionals, Product owners, Backend Frontend and Mobile
Developers, Quality Engineers, Software Architects, Scrum
Masters and Software Project Managers. Some of the key
Software offerings led out of HTSI include ON!Track which is a
premium Asset and Inventory Management Software for the
construction sector.
Prof. Dr. Pavel Laskov
Hilti Chair for Data and Application Security | University
Liechtenstein
Prof. Dr. Pavel Laskov is full professor at the Institute of
Information Systems and Head of the Hilti Chair of Data and
Application Security. His research focuses on the development
of reactive security mechanisms, especially for detection of
and response to novel attacks. Such mechanisms are crucial for
data-centric applications such as autonomous systems,
cryptocurrencies and Internet-of-Things.
Prof. Dr. Gilbert Fridgen
PayPal-FNR PEARL Chair in Digital Financial Services |
University of Luxembourg
Gilbert Fridgen is Professor and PayPal-FNR PEARL Chair in
Digital Financial Services at the Interdisciplinary Centre for
Security, Reliability, and Trust (SnT), University of
Luxembourg. In 2016, he initiated and co-founded the
Fraunhofer Blockchain Lab, where he still contributes on
selected topics. In his research, he analyses the
transformative effects of digital technologies on individual
organizations as well on the relationship between
organizations. He addresses especially decentralized and
distributed technologies like Distributed Ledgers, Digital
Identities and Verifiable Credentials, Federated Learning, and
the Internet-of-Things. His research involves information
systems engineering, IT strategy and (risk) management, as
well as regulatory compliance. In his projects and
partnerships, he collaborates with partners in financial
services, energy, mobility, manufacturing, consulting, as well
as with public bodies and governments.
Prof. Fridgen frequently publishes in academic journals and
conference proceedings in management, information systems,
computer science, and engineering, as well in outlets at the
intersection of these disciplines. He was nominated and
received best paper awards at internationally recognized
conferences. He edited conference proceedings of the most
important German, European, and International Conferences on
Information Systems.
He is currently President of the Special Interest Group in
Green Information Systems of the Association for Information
Systems.
Dr. Miko Chang May Lee
Senior Lecturer and Discipline Leader for Information and
Communication Technologies | SUTS
Miko Chang is currently a Senior Lecturer in Swinburne
University of Technology Sarawak Campus (SUTS) in the field of
data science and advanced analytics. Miko received her Ph.D.
from NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and
Engineering in 2019 and a Bachelor of Engineering (Biomedical
Imaging) with First Class Honours from the National University
of Singapore (NUS) in 2014.
Prior to joining SUTS, Miko Chang has worked with numerous
multi-national companies including MSD, Country Garden, Hilti,
and a Sarawakian company NAIM Holdings. Notably, Miko is also
part of the champion team for the 2018 Hilti IT Competition.
During her career with Hilti Group as a Global IT Data
Scientist, she was involved in a wide range of industrial data
science projects. She helped setting-up Data Science and
Analytics Community and was the scrum master of the data
science team who advocated agile methodology in the
organization.
Combining both her academic and industrial experience, her
current research focuses on data science and analytics,
data-driven applications for the digital economy, data-centric
AI, and data governance.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maizatul Akmar Ismail
Deputy Dean of Undergraduate, School of Computer Science
and IT | UM
Dr. Maizatul Akmar Ismail is an Associate Professor at the
Department of Information Systems, School of Computer Science
and Information Technology, University of Malaya (UM),
Malaysia. Her academic qualifications were obtained from
University Malaya for Bachelor and PhD degree, and University
of Putra Malaysia for Masters. At present, she has more than
twenty years of teaching experience since she started her
career as a lecturer at the University Malaya.
Maizatul was involved in various research, leading to
publication of several academic papers in the areas of
Information Systems specifically on Educational Technology,
Recommender Systems and Data Mining. She hopes to extend her
research beyond Information Systems in her quest to elevate
the quality of teaching and learning.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Manmeet Mahinderjit Singh
Cybersecurity Educator & Researcher, School of Computer
Science | USM
Associate Professor Dr. Manmeet Mahinderjit Singh is a
Cybersecurity Educator & Researcher at the School of Computer
Sciences, University Sains Malaysia (USM), Penang Malaysia.
She has more than 17 years of educational and industrial
experiences. Her area of expertise is in Information and Cyber
Security, Internet of Things (IoT) Security, Smart devices
Security and Mobile Security. Her zeal in these areas is well
demonstrated in her research projects and grants, lecturing,
student supervision and training courses. She has published
over 100+ scientific publications in impactful journals and
conferences track.
Dr. Manmeet holds several grants involving on topics relating
on Advanced Persistent Threat (APT), Privacy Risk and Echonet
based Smart Home. She has designed a range of cybersecurity
trainings courses and presented talks at both International
and local seminar, conferences, workshops and forums. Dr.
Manmeet have been awarded several innovations and academic
awards. Among the awards are being awarded as the 2021 ASEAN
Top 30 Women in Cyber Security, 2020 Top 10 Women In Security
Malaysia, 2020 Gold medalist at International Technology
Exhibition(ITEX), Korea Academic Innovation, Innovation Award
for Penang Science 2016 , Korea International Women's
Invention Exposition (KIWIE 2015), USM Research Excellences
Service (USM - 2016 & 2019) and etc. Dr. Manmeet has been
appointed as Competition Judges for several innovation
competitions. She was also among the judge for CSO30 ASEAN
awards recognizing top 30 senior cybersecurity in Southeast
Asia and Hong Kong.
In addition, Dr. Manmeet also serves as Executive Committee
member in Australia Information Security Association (AISA),
ISACA Malaysia Chapter, IEEE Society and she is an active
mentor for Women in Cybersecurity ( WiCyS).
Dr. Zarul Fitri Zaaba
Senior Lecturer, School of Computer Science | USM
Dr. Zarul Fitri Zaaba is a Senior Lecturer at the School of
Computer Science, University Sains Malaysia (USM). He received
his BSc in Information Technology from the University Utara
Malaysia in 2003, MSc in Information Security from the Royal
Holloway University of London in 2007, and Ph.D. from the
University of Plymouth, the United Kingdom, in 2014.
Before joining USM, he worked for a few years with UJKTWP,
Prime Minister Department as Assistant Secretary, and City
Hall of Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) as a System Analyst. He
specializes in information security, security management, web
security, and the human aspects of security. He is also
actively involved in Science, Technology, Engineering &
Mathematics (STEM) education and is appointed as Master
Trainer in computational thinking.
